Wheelchair accessibility issue – high kerb and lack of dropped kerb on Bermondsey Street

Today I witnessed a wheelchair user travelling independently on Bermondsey Street who was unable to access the pavement because the kerb was too high and there was no suitable dropped kerb nearby.

As a result, she was forced to continue along the road while vehicles were travelling behind her, creating a potentially dangerous situation.

This location appears to present an accessibility barrier for wheelchair users and others with mobility impairments. I have attached photographs showing the kerb and pavement layout and would be grateful if the council could investigate whether improvements, such as a dropped kerb or other accessibility measures, are needed to make this area safer and more accessible.
