Overflowing bin

Reported via mobile in the Litter Bin - Emptying category by Ayesha ellis at 12:44, Sunday 31 May 2026

Sent to Southwark Council 1 hour, 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9534650.

This has now become a weekly occurrence. The bin regularly overflows with rubbish and bags of dog waste, creating an ongoing problem for residents.

As a result, foxes are frequently tearing open the bags and scattering their contents across the surrounding area. The resulting mess is unsightly, unhygienic, and poses a potential public health risk.

To address this issue, I urge the council to install additional dog waste bins and replace the existing bin with a fox-proof, secure unit. Without these measures, the problem will continue to recur, creating unnecessary environmental and health concerns for the local community.

I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
