Communal stairs remain in dirty state
Reported via mobile in the Stair Washing category anonymously at 17:29, Wednesday 13 May 2026
Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9447923.
The stairs of 1-30 Arnold Estate (Jamaica Rd stairwell, SE1 2DL) have still not been cleaned to standard despite multiple reports. Visible staining remains from a dirty liquid spilt all the way down.montgs ago. They need to be properly cleaned with an appropriate detergent and /or power washed. This is my final time reporting this problem for attention before I make a formal complaint if it is not rectified.

Is it any wonder we have flies and bluebottles on our communal stairwells when they remain in this filthy state? How can the Cleaning Supervisors at Southwark Council stand over this very poor standard of cleaning?
