Unnecessary traffic control barriers

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:47, Saturday 11 April 2026

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9275740.

Woodvale was recently resurfaced with speed bumps which was great. But now the council has decided to put temporary artificially windy traffic control barriers over the top which is causing the drive to be unpleasantly windy, limits the number of cars that can be parked along the street, and makes it dangerous with buses also using the road. The reduction in the number of cars that can now be parked along that street means that cars are now flowing over to our much smaller street (Melford Road). The temporary barriers are causing havoc to the rest of the neighbourhood and is completely unnecessary. Why has the council decided to do this?? Money should instead be used to resurface Melford Rd which has a million potholes on it and is in constant use by double decker buses
