Unsafe pavement edge after recent resurfacing works

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9089172.
Conway recently resurfaced a section of pavement outside my property. However, it appears the work has been left incomplete or incorrectly finished. The new tarmac surface ends directly at the edge of the road without any kerb stones or proper edging like there used to be. As a result, the tarmac simply drops off at the corner into the road. This is not a proper pavement finish and is likely to deteriorate quickly as there is nothing supporting the edge. It also creates a poor and potentially unsafe transition between the pavement and the road. Could you please inspect this section of pavement and confirm whether the work has been completed correctly or if kerbs/edging are still due to be installed?

As it currently stands, the edge of the pavement is unfinished and drops directly into the road, which does not appear to be a suitable or durable construction.
Could you please clarify when the contractor intends to fix this? The edge of the pavement is not currently properly supported or protected from deterioration without any form of kerb or edging.
While I understand there may be constraints around the tree roots in a specific area, this does not seem to justify leaving the entire section 10 metres or so from the tree without proper edging—particularly as kerb/edging was in place prior to the recent works.
In its current condition, the finish is not only poor in appearance but also raises concerns about longevity and safety at the pavement–road interface. I have never seen another pavement finished without proper kerb edging anywhere.
Please can you confirm:
* What specification or standard this work is being delivered to * How the edge of the pavement will be prevented from breaking down * What edging solution will be installed and when.
Many thanks
