Someone in the building has left a Large Soiled Mattress.

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping - General category anonymously at 13:53, Tuesday 3 March 2026

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9037771.

I am writing to you as the owner and resident of Flat 7, Cedar House, 1 Woodland Crescent, London, SE16 6YL, to urgently report a severe fly-tipping and environmental health issue on our communal residential land.

As shown in the attached photographs, a large, heavily soiled mattress has been dumped directly in front of our building's entrance. It has been left in this position for several weeks.

I am escalating this to the Council because our property management company, JFM Administration, has completely ignored multiple written requests to remove it. Their negligence has created an unacceptable environment for the following reasons:

Statutory Nuisance & Health Hazard: The mattress is visibly soiled, degrading, and represents a significant biohazard and sanitary risk to all residents.

Fire & Access Hazard: Its placement at the main entrance is an obstruction to a communal walkway and potential fire escape route.

Because JFM is failing in their legal obligation to maintain a safe and sanitary environment on this managed land, I am requesting that Southwark Council urgently intervene. Please issue an enforcement notice compelling the managing agents to clear this waste immediately, or arrange for its removal as a public health hazard.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Yours faithfully,

Sinan Bokesoy
