Fly tipping going on for months in Sudrey Street
Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8988971.
The issue is located at approximately 11 Surrey Street, with coordinates 51.5011440, -0.0980398. Large quantities of black bin bags are repeatedly being dumped outside the rear entrance of the building rather than being stored in appropriate waste containers. The bags are left directly on the pavement and roadside.
Many of the bags have split open, leaving food and household waste exposed. This is creating unsanitary conditions and poses a clear risk of attracting pests such as rats and flies, which is a recognised public health concern according to environmental health guidance.
This is not an isolated incident. The dumping has been ongoing for months and the waste often remains for long periods without proper removal. I have attached photographs showing the scale and repeated nature of the issue.
I would be grateful if this could be investigated as ongoing fly tipping and that appropriate enforcement action is taken against those responsible.
