Decomposing food waste dumped on Mill Street public pavement – health and pest risk
Reported via desktop in the Flytipping - General category anonymously at 15:49, Sunday 18 January 2026
Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8714422.
Food waste has been dumped on the public pavement at this location (a tucked away corner between Unit 1 and Unit 2 on Mill Street) and has been present for approximately two weeks.
The waste is actively decomposing and attracting pests, creating a public health and hygiene risk for pedestrians, nearby premises, and local wildlife animals.
Surrounding leaf litter was recently cleared, but the food waste was left behind and continues to deteriorate.
Due to the length of time the waste has been present and the increasing risk of pest infestation and contamination, urgent street cleansing and Environmental Health attention is requested.
