Wheeled refuse bins on public pavement
Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 12:08, Thu 4 December 2025
Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8501044.
There are two large refuse bins on the pavement outside DanDan restaurant at 34 Southwark Street. They are a hazard for vehicles pulling out from Redcross Way, as they obstruct the view of oncoming vehicles and particularly cyclists.
Businesses should not have bins obstructing the pavement.
This is a danger that can be avoided.

No action.! Bins still on pavement obstructing view, plus fixed advertising illuminated sign and moveable expanding barriers used by construction workers at certain times of the day. Surely it is a simple matter telling the restaurant that bins on the pavement are not allowed and to make other arrangements. This is an avoidable danger.
