Safety Hazard Due to Exposed High-Voltage Cables in Common Areas

Reported via desktop in the Communal Areas (Int) category anonymously at 09:10, Mon 1 December 2025

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8484615.

Electrical repairs are being carried out in the apartment building for units 24–31 at Shere House. Thick, high-voltage cables have been placed outside the common areas, and several sections of these cables are completely exposed. In addition, these cables connect to the building’s main electrical room, where a hole was made in the wall of the electrical cabinet, also left fully exposed. This situation poses a danger to anyone accessing the building’s common area.
