Road markings not clear

Reported via mobile in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 14:36, Mon 11 August 2025

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8009498.

The road markings on the intersection between Friern Road and Underhill Road are very faint. This means that people don’t stop at the junction, they just carry on along Underhill. As Underhill cuts across Friern (which has right of way) the traffic from Underhill should stop. I have recent been driving up Friern from the Peckham Park end to the Dulwich Park end, and people just don’t stop.

It’s dangerous, and has happened 3 times in the last month.

Clear road marking would better denote the rights of way, even better, stop signs on Underhill to ensure that people stop at the junction and don’t just carry on assuming it’s their right of way
