Poor signage and significant disruption to a major intersection causing dangerous driving and noise

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:45, Mon 28 July 2025

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7944777.

Drivers are trying get around the temporary lights having been caught in tailbacks.

All day long drivers are leaning on their horns causing a significant increase in noise on top of the dangerous driving some are engaging in to try to get round the road works.

This is day one and I’ve had it all day. Shouting drivers, horns blaring, aggressive queue jumping into Southwark Bridge Rd from Greay Suffolk St. I’ve never seen anything like it in nearly 12 years of living at 91 Great Suffolk St.

Please can you look at how to manage these works better so drivers know they maybe delayed. Or maybe some other configuration of temporary lights.

Someone’s going to get injured or end up in an accident if nothing is done.
