Missing Tree

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7591171.

A few weeks ago a new tree was planted in front of No 14 Muschamp Road; the pavement surface was cut and soil added to accommodate the planting of this new tree, which incidentally replaces a tree cut several years ago. As of last week the tree has been removed and tarmac has been placed over the ground. I appreciate Southwark's policy of planting new trees and was very much appreciating this effort in Muschamp Road, nevertheless I am baffeld as to why the tree has now been removed. I would appreciate an update on this and hope that a new tree is planted soon.
