Could the verges be kept clean please?

I don’t know if it’s wind or people but the verges are permanently full of litter. This is a cycle path and it’s popular including within tourists — what an impression it makes when everyone sees the state of it? Surely it’s not hard for street cleaners to remove rubbish when they sweep the nearby pavements then why is it never done? Please remove it regularly. Thank you very much
