Paving slabs replaced by tarmac by utility workers

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:59, Wednesday 27 March 2024

Sent to Southwark Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5773554.

Blackfriars road had a considerable redevelopment where the pavements were refurbished with paving slabs to create a 'boulevard'. During recent utility works the contractors ripped them up and then just filled in the gaps with tarmac. Replacing 'like for like' would have been part of their works permit and the correct replacement needs to be enforced.
